Statue of Liberty and Blue Man Group

Today started off…well, bad. Last night, many of us didn’t get into bed until 2 o’clock. We were told to wake up at 7 for an 8 o’clock breakfast, which was then scheduled for 9. Multiple rooms actually slept in (including mine!) and completely missed breakfast. We got on the bus, and went over to Ellis Island.

At Ellis Island, most of it was relatively interesting. Then we went to Liberty Island, and got a great picture of the Statue of Liberty on the boat ride over. Then we got a group picture with the Statue. After that, we headed back to New York.

Once we got there, we went to a great Italian restaurant, S.P.Q.R. I had some chicken parmesan, and it was delicious. We were complemented by the staff on the speed of our decisions. Then we had about 15 minutes to cruise around the stores, and haggle our way to terrible shirts, and fake watches.

Daily Dysfunction: While we did enjoy purchasing fake items, some of us enjoyed it too much. Mark Clark and Cameron Cool almost missed the bus!

After that, we took a bus to the Blue Man Group concert. It was amazing and we all loved it. Afterward, many of us got pictures taken with the Blue Men, and even got them to “sign” our tickets! Then we rode by the beautifully lit Times Square before heading back to the hotel. This will be a day late, because I couldn’t get internet, but this will still be posted.
